There wasn't a top song that entire year that I cared one bit for. But, then again, my favorites at that time were Metallica, the Jesus and Mary Chain, Billy Bragg, and the Cure.Brian Vinsonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17221972114141282402noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-10760709.post-2532117123945887082007-06-06T16:27:00.000-04:002007-06-06T16:27:00.000-04:00This was only last year for me, and it doesn't hel...This was only last year for me, and it doesn't help that I'm almost entirely out of touch with popular modern music. The pop charts had "Bette Davis Eyes" (Kim Carne) and "Theme from the 'Greatest American Hero'" playing, but I was into Contemporary Christian Music at the time.

So some of my fave artists were Keith Green (who died that year) and Randy Stonehill. And, while I don't listen to much CCM these days, I still dig those two guys and many of their classics, including Keith's Sheep and the Goats and Rushing Wind and Captain Randy's American Fastfood, Big Ideas and Cosmetic Fixation.

Great stuff.Dan Trabuehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00019224997786558005noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-10760709.post-87451956505934055802007-06-05T22:55:00.000-04:002007-06-05T22:55:00.000-04:00Argh (an agonized cry) I was 18 when disco became ...Argh (an agonized cry) I was 18 when disco became king. I like the music from when I was 15 or 16 better. But upon looking at a selection of songs from my 18th year, the one that I still love to turn up unashamedly is Wild Cherry, "Play that Funky Music." However, I think I still have my "Songs in the Key of Life" from Stevie Wonder that I loved.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-10760709.post-88243522646686788092007-06-05T22:16:00.000-04:002007-06-05T22:16:00.000-04:0018.
