Bono, the leader of the rock band U2, has said before that he is a Christian and has written about it in some of his songs. In an article titled Salty Dogma, the columnist Gene Edward Veith describes Bono's explicit confession of faith found in a book of collected interviews called

Bono makes a distinction between Karma, which he defines as "what you put out comes back to you: an eye, for an eye; a tooth for a tooth..." and Grace which is "Love interrupts...the consequences of your actions, which in my case is very good news indeed, because I've done a lot of stupid stuff."
The interviewer is not Christian, and as the discussion proceeds Bono gives a powerful and cogent witness to him about who Jesus is. And that witness sounds very much like C. S. Lewis. Bono is portrayed as an effective Christian apologist in this article, and presumably in the book of interviews. "Salty Dogma", indeed.
