BANGKOK, Oct 16 (Reuters) - Suspected Muslim militants killed a Buddhist monk and five other people in Thailand's restive Muslim south, police said on Sunday, in separatist violence that has claimed more than 900 lives.
The militants attacked a Buddhist temple in the southern Pattani province late on Saturday, slit the 76-year-old monk's throat, killed two teenage boys and set fire to the temple, said a police report obtained by Reuters.
Story here. I blame Abu Ghraib for provoking this violence.
