It's only a small step from this little ditty to the idea that "the only good Muslim is a dead Muslim." As Christians, is that really what we want to say?
Didn't think so.

Seems to me that the best thing we can do is set up tremendous cognitive dissonance for Muslims by being just the kind of radical Christians Jesus talks about in the Sermon on the Mount,
i.e. love those who hate you. This ditty (even if indirectly) promotes a "hate those who hate you" ethic. That can only be counter-productive.

I see your point, Greg. But this ditty isn't talking about all Muslims -- just those who abuse the peaceful Islamic faith for evil purposes. The song is about jihadists, just a tiny subset of self-described Muslims.

Sure, there are those few wacko fundamentalists who actually danced when the Twin Towers fell (to quote the song). But we know how rare those are.
