Wild rabbits live in communities with a hierarchical structure and every rabbit yearns to rise higher in the chain of command for better food, living quarters, and mates. Domesticated rabbits have inherited these tendencies.
Even after being neutered, rabbits will mount each other in order to assert dominance, regardless of gender. Or, as this hilarious video demonstrates, regardless of species.
