Jason Moore is spending the next month writing commentary on all movies that have won the Oscar for Best Picture, starting with Gone With the Wind in 1939. Check it out.Personally, though, I lost any confidence in judgment of the Academy after Ice Pirates failed to win Best Picture in 1984.

i was miffed that "buckaroo banzai" didn't get a nod, i'm still holding a grudge over that!

Casablanca is now up, too. And the next one will be The Bridge on the River Kwai from 1957 sometime this week.
