Rick Warren's Church Bids to Purchase NFL Franchise

Saddleback Church is trying to leverage a buy-out of the financially beleaguered New Orleans Saints football team. I have mixed feelings about this plan. It's smart for a church to increase its revenues by investing its loose cash, but it is also a big step away from real ministry.

Surely this is a fake news story. If not though, I think it's a big mistake.

Greg, read through some of Lark's archives. They aren't factual, but I think they present a pretty fair representation of American Christianity that is only absurd because it could happen.

Haha. "Purpose Driven Field". I think Matthew's right, the humor lies in the fact that we actually wonder, "what if..."

Why would he want to buy the Saints, they will probably be in California next year anyway and he could just drive a couple of miles to see them play.

I like the part where every attendee gets a copy of his book. Shameless self promotion :)
