In the synagogue there was a man possessed by the spirit of an unclean demon, and he cried out with a loud voice, "Let us alone! What business do we have with each other, Jesus of Nazareth? Have You come to destroy us? I know who You are--the Holy One of God!" But Jesus rebuked him, saying, "Be quiet and come out of him!" And when the demon had thrown him down in the midst of the people, he came out of him without doing him any harm.
Luke 4: 33-35

All times. Read John Wesley's
Sermon #38, A Caution Against Bigotry.
"I am, in the first place, to show, in what sense men may, and do, now cast out devils....."
Great link, Tony! That's interesting.
I think that demonic possession occurs more often than we think. It was so common in the early Christian era, but many Christians today doubt the reality of the phenomenon.
It is absolutely as true today as it was in the time of Christ.
I believe that it is real. But as to what exactly it is, I wonder.
I'm kind of like anby b. but I'm wondering what kind of demon it takes to make someone do this?
That should ready "andy b."
