ESV vs. TNIV vs. Kingon Standard Version

Ben Witherington has problems with the translation of gender in the ESV. It has caused quite a stir.

I do not speak Greek and Hebrew and inspite of this limitation, have no opinion on the subject.

The gender inclusive language in the New Klingon Standard Version is a bit much

That's why I prefer the older translation. If it's good enough for Khaless, then it's good enough for me.

I prefer what an old-time church member told me. She said that we should all use the good old King James Version. To quote her, "If it was good enough for Jesus, it is good enough for me!" (Funny the stuff they leave out ofthe Bible classes these days -- I never knew that).
