That reminds me of an old ODOT (Ohio Department of Transportation) joke:
A farmer is plowing his field one day when he sees an ODOT truck drive up the road by his field. It stops. A man gets out and digs a hole about two feet deep with a shovel. Then he goes back in the truck. A second man comes out and fills up the hole. The truck moves forward about fifty feet. Then the two men inside repeat their strange performance.
These antics perplexed the famer, who eventually walked over to the truck and asked the men inside what they were doing.
"We're planting trees," came the reply.
"Oh," said the farmer. "But, you're not actually planting any trees. Just digging a hole and filling it up again."
One of the ODOT workers responded. "Well, the guy who plants the tree called in sick today."
A very libertarian joke.
