After long, constant decline since 1968, the United Methodist Church is finally growing again!
Sure, it's by a different standard of measurement, but growth is growth.

Speaking from a non-Methodist perspective, I think that the UMC has been successful because of churches like the Church of the Ressurection right here in Kansas. I saw their pastor, Adam Hamilton, interviewed on a local TV show and her personified what is great about Christianity - our love ... our acceptance ... our inclusiveness. All relevant for people that need Jesus.
I've heard nothing but good things about that church.
