Is it just me, or would the opening theme to the classic cartoon Robotech not make a totally awesome wedding processional?
That's been my opinion for twelve years or so. But, alas, Katherine insisted on something more traditional. Oh, and we couldn't afford a full orchestra.

I could see it for the recessional, but I would prefer something more stately for a processional. That's just me, though...
the orchestra probably couldn't do the lazer effects, so it is best to just leave it alone versus do a half effort job
My husband was best man in a wedding that had a string quartet play Star Wars "The Throne Room" as the recessional. He was a bit irked because his best buddy's bride actually went for the idea that I hadn't let him use a year earlier.
This would be funny if I hadn't met someone this Saturday at Otakon who used the theme of Ranma 1/2 in her wedding.
It would have been cute to switch to the Darth Vader theme when my mother-in-law entered, but there'd be hell to pay afterwards.
