Many Versions of Bolero

The ballet Bolero is, in my opinion, the most romantic piece of music ever created. Here is a blog post full of different versions of Maurice Ravel's masterpiece. My favorite is the orchestral version:

Part 1:

Part 2:

There are other versions listed as well, including a jazzy Frank Zappa take on this piece.

That was fantastic! I've enjoyed this piece ever since my Arts Seminar class in high school, long, long ago.

Despite the interesting caesura between the videos, (I just could not click quickly enough!) this was a great was to turn a quick breakfast before church into dining before church.

I'm not sure of this, but it seems to me that Led Zeppelin's "Kashmir" owes its rhythmic feel to Ravel.

It is interesting that even the most obscure musician, after enough time, can have a profound impact on the great masterworks of human achievement.
