Announcement

My wife and I are having a baby. The due date is September 25th.

Naturally, we're I'm thinking about naming the child after a famous blog or blogger.
What should we name the child?
Methoblog
Instapundit
Ace of Spades
Connexions

Of course, there's always the option of "Hyzenthlay".

No suggestion on names from me, but I wanted to offer you my heartfelt congratulations!

(No zombie names, please!)

John,

Congratulations! Your child's due date is only one day away from our firstborn's!

Being the leporid lover that you are, how about naming the kid "Thumper," "Bugs" or "Peter Cottontail?"

Congratulations, John! That's fantastic.

And I will give Richard Hall the nod with my vote for connexions!

Hyzenthlay might work...

I have a cousin who was named Benjamin after Peter Rabbit's cousin. (It was his big brother's idea.)

Oh! and congratulations!

Way to go! Since you are the one that got me addicted to Nick Seafort, what about Nick, Hybernia, or Vax?

Gandalf! Name him Gandalf! Even if its a girl! Name her Gandalf!

Congrats! You won't sleep much. :)

Congratulations! If it's a boy, I suggest Benjamin over Peter. Peter was the naughty, misbehaving one who talked Benjamin into wrong behavior.

Congratulations!

The best baby naming advice came from my grandmother when I was expecting my first. She said, "once you choose a name, go to the back door, yell it as loud as you can for an hour...still like it? Get used to it. You will spend the next several years hollering out the back door!"

Congrats! That's great news!

Hey - great news, John. Congratulations!

Of course, I'd be honoured should you decide to call your child 'connexions', but I'd advise you against it. First because my legal team aren't happy at the possibility that it might, at some point in the future, give rise to a transatlantic law suit over ownership of the name. Second, (and more important) because it would give the poor mite some explaining to do in the school yard.

But neither reason was sufficient to prevent me voting for the proper option. :o)

That's great! Best wishes.

Great news John. Congratulations and I hope your child brings you as much joy as ours have brought us.

Feel free to name the little one after me! Otherwise "Connexions" has a rather nice ring to it - and Richard Hall has offered me a fat cheque if you name him/her Connexions ........ And it will make you methodism's Number 1 nerd - beating even mr Warnock!

Awesome. Congratulations. It's pretty much the best thing ever.

Congratulations!

Personally, I think Wabi Sabi, works for a boy or a girl. :-)

Congratulations.

I've been thinking about it.

How about Suzanna or Samuel?

We almost named kid number one "Bullrun Gardenia" and kid number two "Temperance Ossumus" -- but resisted the temptation.

Or Spock. Yeah! Spock. Especially if pointed ears are involved.

How about Snorri Sturluson Hyzenthlay? You'd get Nor^H^H^HIcelandic epic poetry and bunnies all in one name.

How about "Harry Potty"??

Best wishes and blessings to you both!

Congrats! Perhaps instead of a name, you should just label the child with a gentle reminder for you and the entire world: "I'm not a rabbit."

I know I'm a few days late in getting around to checking your blog. But Congrats dude. I'm very happy for you and pray God's blessings...especially for your wife over the next few months.

I kinda like "Bubba" for a boy, "Bubbette" for a girl.
