Who Should Play John Wesley in a Movie?

A couple of weeks ago, Deathwish was playing on AMC. In reflection of Charles Bronson's work and persona in this movie, Chato's Land, The Mechanic, and other films, I was struck by an obvious fact: if they ever make another biopic of John Wesley, Charles Bronson should play the lead role.

Of course, Bronson died years ago. But still, if he were alive, he strikes me as an obvious choice.

And it goes without saying that Quentin Tarantino should direct.

I think I'd want the Wachowski Brothers or possibly Ang Lee to direct. John Wesley kicking George Whitfield's whatsit with a bit of ninja nonsense would make a splendid scene.

This is easy for me- René Auberjonois is the perfect choice to play JW.

John, don't you remember this being definitively settled? It's Paul Reubens, of course. There is a startling and disturbing resemblance there.

Well, whoever it is should be a method actor, obviously.

Josh Brolin, natch. He can move back and forth between his serious persona in NO COUNTRY FOR OLD MEN and his crazy one in GRINDHOUSE: PLANET TERROR.

Me, I want to see some circuit riders doing wire-fighting on horseback.

Who should play the role of John Wesley? Possibly Dustin Hoffman or Robin Williams.
