It is a far as my wife and four little ones are concerned. I have not been able to enjoy a fine cigar in years! Ironically, I never smoked cigarettes, and discovered cigars during boys night out during my surgery internship. All in all, I agree with Doodlebugmom.
As someone who has on occasion enjoyed a good cigar or pipe, I would argue no. That of course in light of not smoking in excess. I for one haven't had a pipe in 2 years, most of my smoking was done in seminary :)

Why? In your open rebellion, are you thinking of taking up the habit?
No, I'm still under Asbury's ethos statement. But after I graduate, I'm thinking about getting absolutely smashed, in good Asbury tradition.
Tough day at the seminary?
No, not at all. In fact, the next semester doesn't start until February.
It would be hard to label it sinful when you have such prominent Christian theologians as Bonhoeffer and Lewis who smoked tobacco regularly.
In light of our current societal ethic, it's probably bad ethical policy for a christian to smoke now.
A sin - I would say no. A nasty, unhealthy habit -yes.
I agree with Doodlebugmon.
If so, it isn't a particularly bold one.
Only if it's bad tobacco.

Not if you do it right.
I don't even know what that means.
