World's Largest Pokemon Collection

It is said that Julius Caesar wept when he saw a statue of Alexander the Great, saying "Do you think I have not just cause to weep, when I consider that Alexander at my age had conquered so many nations, and I have all this time done nothing that is memorable." So weep, ye readers, who by the age of 21, have not accomplished what this woman has:

Lisa Courtney is listed as having the biggest Pokémon collection in the world – 12,113 items – in the new edition of the Guinness World Records Gamer's Edition, published today.

The 21-year-old, from Welwyn Garden City, Hertfordshire, has spent 13 years building up the collection which she said has swelled to more than 13,400 since it was counted by Guinness record-checkers last year and fills most of the house she shares with mother Sharon.

Just before we move when I was 12 my brother and I counted our baseball card collection. We had over 100,000 cards, of course we were told we had to discard the cards. My dad had no intention of moving our collection.

Did you get to sell them, or did you have to just throw them away?
