Church Shopping

Katherine and I have been church shopping in Orlando. The first church offered homemade strawberry/kiwi jam as their 'visitor gift'. The second offered a John Tesh album.

I think that the choice is pretty clear now.

I'm holding out for a Harley-Davidson. I think that I'll check out the wealthier churches.

man, you visit better churches than I did! Out of the 10 or so churches I visited here, I only got one gift, a coffee mug with hot cocoa mix and tea bags. Many never even sent me a letter!

We used to give out loaves of home-baked bread. But Tesh? Mark of the beast?

Hmmm... "PLEASE come back to our church! We'll give you free stuff!"

There's a fine line between a gift and a bribe, isn't there?

Well, I would pick the first church, as the only service at the second church that I would probably enjoy is at 8:00 a.m., and I have no desire to be out that early on a Sunday.
