They're right about the portable playground. The best present I ever got was three refrigerator boxes.

I know the Portable Playground is a hit, but this year I'm thinking of getting him the Smasher Breaker. He's also made great use of an item not listed, the Magic Mural Wand - it brings out your inner artist and magically lets you draw on any surface. Ah, Sharpies and a 2yo... good times.
