John, You have given so much of yourself to helping the Methodist blogosphere get established. I couldn't imagine how much time it must have taken. Thanks a lot Bro! In Christ, Jason
John, Thank you for all of the hard work that you've spent putting together the MBWR. I honestly don't know how you've been able to keep it up with all the other stuff you have going on. Your summaries will definitely be missed.
Every week that I clicked on Locusts and Honey and the new MBWR was up, it was like a little mini-Christmas. And that would make John a mini-Santa. In fact, I nominate John as the Perpetual Methoblogosphere Mini-Santa for All-Time. And if that works out, we should set up some type of Ultimate Fighting Championship bout against the Blogospheric Overlord. It would be awesome.
So thanks for all those mini-Christmases, John the Methodist Mini-Santa. For us newbies in the 'sphere, it was a great introduction to our Wesleyan hermanos y hermanas.
The Methoblogosphere and the connection we have with each other won't likely exist if it hadn't been the WMBR. It has been a part of my Monday morning routine for many months. I will really miss it, though I understand perfectly why it's become too much to handle. Back in the early days of the Methoblogosphere, you know 2005, there were far fewer sites to review. It's grown and we now need some new way to keep our connection alive.
Thanks John for all you've done.
Just tell me you're not going to quit doing the caption contests. Losing the WMBR and Shane R in the same month is about all the blows I can take.
John, thanks for the hard work over the life of the MBWR, but I have just one question: Why did you wait until after the election to pull the plug? Why not months earlier when it could have helped the party?
John, ditto what everyone else is saying - you've done a great service to the community and getting blogs to our attention that we might not otherwise read. Thanks!
This has provided me with some great reads from some blogs I wouldn't have gotten to otherwise. But it's got to be a beast of a time-consumer. For someone who's had to struggle with the couseload of seminary enough to wonder when and where there could be time to meet and spend time with nonbelievers, you've probably made the best decision for you. Too bad the cost to us. No hard feelings here; you've got to continue to say no to good things in order to say yes to the best thing.

Approximately, how much time does it involve each week?
Way, way too much time, man. Don't even go there.
Your work has been appreciated.
John has seen the light.
There may be a tunnel at the end of it.
Wait, that's wrong.
Shoot, I'm impressed you have done this for so long and so very well. I say "Three Cheers for John!"
Hip hip hooray!

Gavin'll do it. I nominate him.
is that why i was nominated blogosphere overlord!!
does that mean nate is my whipping boy?
I'm sad 'cause I'm lazy.
Seriously, I get annoyed at how long it takes to scroll down the MBR. I can't fathom how long it takes to actually read through it all.
Thanks a million for doing it as long as you have.
I can't believe you did it as long as you did. Thank you for sticking it out for so long. You're the best!
John has seen the light - I just hope it's not from an oncoming train at the end of the tunnel!
And I second Nate's nomination of Gavin to take over MBWR...
But John, does this mean you won't be pointing out what a liberal I am anymore?
I'm (sort of) gonna miss that:)
Seriously, though, I've enjoyed the MBWR and I thank you for the effort and the time.
God's peace to you my friend!
You've been a real trooper, John. We are indebted to you.
All the Best,
Paul
Thanks, guys.
Thanks for all your work John.

Great work, John. True to your moniker, you prepared the way for the Methoblog...
Did I just say that the Methoblog is our blog Messiah?
Thanks for the time, effort, and blog pub for all of us.
Have you considered getting an intern? ;-)
Thanks for your efforts. You've made a significant contribution to connecting the Connection.

John thank you for all you have done on our behalf.

;)
I don't know how you did it. Nice job, though.
Gavin'll do it. I nominate him.
It's the Methodist way ...
Thanks, John.
