Question of the Day

Last week was Beatles Day -- the 45th anniversary of the arrival of the Beatles in America. It was a truly great day for music. I love their whole repertoire, but especially "Hey Jude" and "Eleanor Rigby."

What is your favorite Beatles song?

I like "Yesterday."

There are so many good songs, it's hard to pick even one from each album.
Mood plays such a big role in which songs appeal at any given time.

having to choose I like:
If I fell in love with you
Martha my dear

For some reason I really like "Norwegian Wood."

I think probably "I've Just Seen A Face."

Also, "Rocky Raccoon."

"If I Fell" is great.

"Norwegian Wood" is great.

"You've Got To Hide Your Love Away" is great.

Geez, there's lots that are great.

Favorite probably depends on the mood of the moment.

Side 2 of Abbey Road is like one long song, so I'll pick that one as a favorite.

A Day In The Life may be my pick for greatest song in the rock and roll canon.

I think one of my favorites was "Bridge Over Troubled Waters"... that was a Beatle's song, right? I also liked "Hey Jude"... I haven't thought of those songs in awhile.
