The alt text on xkcd is usually the best part; on this one it was "What do you want me to do? LEAVE? Then they'll keep being wrong!"

Ah, xkcd. Without thee, I would actually get work done. I am eternally in thy debt.

Don't be silly. I don't blog, because someone is wrong on the internet. I blog, because I am right!

Right, we don't blog because people are wrong on the internets. We post comments because people are wrong.

Actually, it's amazing how powerful this is. Back in my USENET days, the fastest way to get answers to an issue was to post an incorrect answer. Ask the question, and people may or may not answer. Post an incorrect answer, and people would swarm you with corrections.

Of course, you still had the problem of figuring what was the actual correct answer. As I put it to someone who asked that people correct him if he was wrong: "This is USENET. Someone will correct you even if you're right'.
